Inlay / Onlay Treatment
Inlay and onlay treatments involve cleaning the decayed or broken area of the tooth with special methods, taking measurements, and reconstructing it with filling-like restorations produced from porcelain or composite material in a laboratory environment.
While an inlay is used to repair decay on the inside of a tooth, an onlay provides a more extensive restoration that covers both the inside of the tooth and one or more of its cusps (protrusions on the chewing surface of the tooth).
This method is a more durable and long-lasting solution than traditional fillings. It's an ideal alternative to fillings, especially in cases where the tooth has lost significant material due to decay.
