Cracked and Broken Tooth Repair
Cracked or broken teeth require restoration of dental structures damaged by various factors (such as trauma, teeth grinding, or biting hard objects). Depending on the extent of the damage, procedures such as fillings, root canal treatment, crowns, or, if necessary, tooth extractions may be applied. If the nerve tissue is intact, restoration is achieved with a filling; if the nerve tissue is damaged, with root canal treatment.

Individuals whose teeth have been damaged as a result of trauma or impact
What is the treatment process like?
- Examination and Diagnosis: The degree of damage to the tooth is evaluated by the dentist through clinical examination and x-ray imaging.
- Treatment Planning: If the cracked surface is small, a filling is planned; if the pulp (nerve) is affected, root canal treatment is planned.
- APPLICATION:
The filling procedure is usually completed in a single appointment. The damaged area is cleaned and restored with an aesthetic filling material. In some cases, if the broken piece is suitable for bonding, it is used in the restoration.
In root canal treatment, the infected nerve tissue is cleaned, the canal is filled, and the tooth is reconstructed with a crown or filling. - Control: Post-treatment follow-up appointments are scheduled within a few weeks. If necessary, protective measures such as a night guard are recommended.
